Our Fruit History
While Saunders Brothers originally began as a partnership of five brothers trapping rabbits, the Great Depression called for new ways to make money on the farm. After seeing an opportunity in shipping fruit, they planted around 70 acres of peaches. But, After World War II, interest waned in the formerly popular Elberta peaches and the brothers began planting new varieties. Today, we remember our past and our love for fruit continues - we grow over 50 varieties of peaches, apples, Asian pears and nectarines. Stop by the porch or ship a box to your loved ones! We hope our fruit brings you many sweet memories.
